CEMILAC is a Military Airworthiness Regulatory body under the umbrella of DRDO, located at Bangalore with 18 regional centres spread across the length & breadth of the country. The primary role is to certify the Airworthiness of Military Air systems (Aircraft, Helicopter, Engines, UAV etc.) along with other airborne stores used by Indian Armed Forces & Coast Guard.
CEMILAC ensures that all the Air Systems & associated systems/stores meet the stringent safety & performance standards before being inducted in to the services. Further the organisation provides continued airworthiness coverage by certifying all modification / upgradation / life extension etc., right till end of service life of the aircraft.
CEMILAC plays a crucial role in ensuring safety & reliability of the military aviation assets of Indian armed forces thereby contributing to operational efficiency.
