CEMILAC follows a well-defined, structured & comprehensive process to certify military air systems, associated systems/sub systems to meet all the safety, reliability, maintainability and performance standards. This process is governed by the Indian Military Airworthiness Procedures & Requirements.

For the certification of an Air System / Airborne stores, CEMILAC is involved right from ab-initio design stage including being part of all design reviews. Further, we review the development and testing of systems, technical data, analysis / simulations results. We also participate in ground and flight trials to verify the performance according to design specification & requirements.

Post successful completion of all testing & compliance checks, CEMILAC issues a certificate to certify that the air system / airborne store is airworthy for military use. The certificate will include the cleared configurations, operational capabilities and limitations, if any and envelopes for safe & reliable operations.

Post induction into services, CEMILAC continues to provide airworthiness support till the end of service life of the air systems / airborne stores by reviewing all modification/upgradation/lifing/repairs/replacements.
