The Institute has three class rooms and two lecture halls for the conduct of courses. All class rooms are well equipped with modern facilities like overhead projector, smart board, visualiser etc. Lecture halls are provided with Internet & DRDO Intranet facilities, Video Conferencing and Live Streaming is utilised on several occasions. The central heating mechanism is installed in all the rooms and halls to create a comfortable atmosphere during winter. ITM has a well maintained Hemkund Hall which is a multi-utility centre and provides peaceful and pristine environment for the conduct of stress management classes.
Computer Centre at ITM is equipped with modern PCs and generally upgraded with latest configuration. Most of the training sessions related to use of Application Software like Project Management Tools and hands-on exercises are conducted in the Computer Centre. The facility of High-speed broadband Internet connection with adequate number of systems is available.
ITM has a well-stocked Library (Technical Information Centre - TIC) to meet the needs of Course participants and Faculty members. TIC has a collection of over 16000 books and 2500 bound journals, which include technical reports, consultancy project reports, audio-visual materials etc. TIC currently subscribes to more than 20 National and International Journals in different areas of Management viz. Technology Management, Strategic Management, Creativity and Innovation Management, Reliability Engineering etc.
ITM has set up an Exhibition Hall named ‘DARPAN’ showcasing products & achievements of DRDO. The displayed models of 'DARPAN' illustrate the main functional area of DRDO i.e. Aeronautics,Armaments, Combat Vehicles, High energy Components, Electronics, Life Sciences, Missiles, Naval R&D Technologies and Human Resource Development.
Different exhibits/models, showcasing the core competencies and innovations of DRDO Labs have been displayed in 'Hemkund Hall' and other prominent locations within ITM premises.
ITM has set up a sports complex for indoor games likes Badminton and Table Tennis. It also has a well equipped gym for all ITM employees and course participants.
ITM premise has a cafeteria with a seating capacity of 50 persons. The cafeteria caters for refreshment and lunch of Participants and employees of ITM.
ITM has a well-equipped MI Room with medical assistance from Resident Medical Officer and visiting specialists (Lady Doctor and visiting specialists)

All courses at ITM are residential programmes. To cater to the comfort of participants, ITM has a residential facility with living accommodation for 60 persons. ITM Hostel has a well-equipped dining hall, anteroom with TV, Wi-Fi Internet Connectivity, indoor sports complex with badminton and table tennis facility. All rooms have a central heating system during the winter (Nov to March). Transit Facility has a well-equipped class room to cater for sessions after the office hours. The course Participants are generally not permitted to arrive with family. However, prior permission must be taken by the Participants for family to avoid unpleasant situation. In exceptional circumstances, families of course participants may be permitted by the Institute's Competent Authority for short durations, subject to the availability of accommodation.
Other allied support facilities like Communication Facilities, Post and Telegraph Office are located within walking distance from the hostel.
The ITM Officers Mess and Institute is in close vicinity. The officers' Mess and Institute encompasses the VVIP Guest House, an ante-room, lounge and a dining hall for the conduct of social events and get togethers.
Scheduled Bus Services (including Deluxe Service and AC Coach) from ISBT, Delhi are available both during day and at night for Mussoorie/Dehradun. Mussoorie is well connected with Dehradun by bus and taxi.
Weather at Mussoorie is very pleasant during summer (April to October) and Temperature generally varies from 6°C to 30°C. Participants are advised to bring woolen clothing, as evenings may be cold. During November to March (Winter Season) temperature varies from - 2°C to 12°C. A central heating system is operative to keep participants' accommodation, lecture halls and offices comfortable. Snowfall occurs three to four times during the months of January and February and experiencing the snowfall from warm and comfortable indoors is a memorable experience. Mussoorie receives heavy rainfall from June to Sep.
Mussoorie has very bright sunshine on all days except for the few days of snowfall and rainy season. Usually, day-time visibility during Jan-Feb months is such that snow clad peaks of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Nanda Devi can be seen clearly from ITM complex. This is a major attraction for the tourists visiting Mussoorie during these months. However the evenings and early mornings are very cold (reaching even sub-zero temperatures). Hence, participants are advised to come equipped with warm clothes / woolen clothing like jackets, caps and gloves.
