High Speed Expendable Aerial Target – Abhyas
High Speed Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) ‘Abhyas’ is an expendable high-speed unmanned aerial target for surface to air missiles. The configuration of Abhyas is designed on an in-line small gas turbine engine and uses an indigenously developed Micro-Electro Mechanical System(MEMS) based navigation system for its navigation and guidance. ABHYAS has successfully completed 10 flight trials. All the project objectives of altitude, endurance, speed, range and maneuverability have been demonstrated. Licensing Agreement for Transfer of Technology (LAToT) has been already signed.
