High Altitude Pulmonary Oedema (HAPO) Chamber

One man High Altitude Pulmonary Oedema (HAPO) chamber is a life saving device that provides emergency treatment to HAPO, a condition characterized by breathlessness, tachycardia, tachypnea, mild fever and cough beside blood stained sputum and accumulation of fluids in lungs. HAPO chamber is made out of a Neoprene coated nylon fabric and it works on the principle of increasing the atmospheric pressure around the patient thereby simulating descent in altitude by about 6000-8000ft in a controlled manner when inflated to a pressure of 130 ±10 mm Hg. The CNC has been concluded and currently undergoing production.
