CBRN Recce Vehicle Mk-II (Tracked)

The CBRN Recce vehicle (Tracked) Mk-II is a reconnaissance platform capable of detecting, identifying, monitoring and marking of areas contaminated with CBRN agents and transmit this information to the supported formations. The vehicle is based on BMP-II platform re-engineered to accommodate different systems required for CBRN Recce purpose. The CBRN Reconnaissance Vehicle (Tracked) Mark- II will be used in plains and desert/semi deserts terrains.  

CBRN Mini UGV

CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear) Mini UGV is used for detection, sample collection and marking of CBRN contaminated (Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear) zones without risk of exposing personnel. UGV being unmanned/ tele-operated vehicles have upper edge over conventional manned NBC recce vehicles, specifically, in terms of personnel safety for the Armed forces.

Bridge Layer Tank (BLT) Arjun

BLT Arjun is a fast and reliable bridge laying system built on the Main Battle Tank Arjun, it is capable of launching a 24 m bridge with in 10 minutes on any wet and dry obstacles, facilitating speedy induction

The launching mechanism is supported by State-of-the-art hydraulic system for launching and retrieval operations. It has a separate auxiliary engine provided for contingencies

Brake Parachute

Brake Parachutes have been designed to provide adequate deceleration to fighter aircraft of different weight class and to stop them within specified landing speed in both normal and emergency conditions. Well proven and inducted single canopy brake parachute is used to stop the aircraft, having landing weight varying from 9 Ton to 20 Ton for normal and emergency landing speeds. Very stable twin canopies brake parachutes had also been designed and inducted for fighter aircraft landing weight varying from 20 Ton to 40 Ton, for normal and emergency landing speeds.

Battle Field Surveillance Radar

BFSR-SR is a state-of-the-art lightweight, man- portable battery-powered electronic short range battlefield surveillance radar developed by the DRDO to provide all- weather surveillance against intrusion. The radar is capable of searching a specified sector and performing track while scanning for multiple targets. The radar detects, tracks, and aids in classifying the moving targets. The entire radar system is carried by two soldiers and operated on a tripod.

70 T Tank Transporter for MBT Arjun

The weight of MBT Arjun- Mk 1A is 68t. As a tactical and strategic mobility, the MBT’s need to be transported up to the battle – field on the special transporter with tractor and full trailer combination by road. VRDE, Ahmednagar has developed full trailer for the above purpose. Full trailer realized through DRDO nominated Production Agency (PA) and DRDO Internal trials with MBT Arjun MK-1 A completed.

3D Tactical Control Radar

3D Tactical Control Radar (3D TCR) is a stand-alone medium range all weather  Surveillance Radar for detection and identification of aerial targets, transmission of pertinent data to Target Data Receiver (TDR). The Radar is capable of Track While Scan (TWS) of airborne targets, with advanced technologies like digital receiver, programmable signal processor providing high resolution, accuracy, response and information availability.

3 D Medium Range Surveillance Radar for Airforce- Rohini

3D Medium Range Surveillance Radar is a ground based mechanically scanning Pulse Doppler radar for air space surveillance to detect and track air targets under hostile EW operational environment. early warning for air defence weapon system, air defence sensor at airbases. 

180 Hp Diesel Engine for UAV

VRDE has developed the high specific power diesel engine for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The Indigenous engine produces take-off power of 180 hp constant up to 11,000 ft. The engine has been successfully tested for power, Thrust and fuel consumption on the Dynamometer and Thrust cradle. The Fully Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system is indigenously developed and extensively tested with engine. The engine is tested and validated for high-altitude performance for altitude up-to 17, 664 at Leh and Changla.
