Since last more than 25 years Metrology Laboratory of Center for Advance Mechanical Engineering (CAME) is contributing towards the development of milli-meter wave components at 35, 94 and now at 140 GHz, through precision metrology and calibration work. Since the mm wave components, at such high frequencies, have linear and geometrical tolerances of the order of 12 and 0.1 mm respectively, a comprehensive Quality Control approach is absolutely essential. To meet this requirement CAME has a well equipped, NABL accredited, Metrology and Calibration laboratory catering for the various measurement, inspection and calibration requirements of the Group.
In Oct 2006, Metrology Laboratory of DEAL became the first Metrology Lab of DRDO to get prestigious NABL accreditation in the field of Mechanical Calibration. Since than the laboratory is actively extending its calibration services for the benefit of other organizations.
MIC Facility aims to provide high quality Microwave Integrated Circuits to produce components/subsystems to cater the need of various projects at Microwave / Millimeter wave frequencies.
For measurements on electronic subsystem like SS Modem, RF package, CCD camera, Laser range finder, RMI unit, Fuel gauge probes, Altitude encoder units, Range measurement units, RF shelters, etc.

Computer Aided Deisgn Center in DEAL is a centralized facility having the most advanced and comprehensive computerized tools which provide solutions in following areas:
- Mechanical Design and Analysis.
- PCB Design and Layout.
- MW/MMW Design & Simulation.
- Mask Generation.
- Analog & Digital Design.
- Simulation and Fault Analysis.
DRDO Earth Station for Satellite Imagery (DESSI)
The Earth Station (DESSI) at DEAL is receiving data (PAN, LISS & WIFS sensors) daily from IRS and Carto series of satellite. After the satellite passes the data is archived in DLT in FRED format. Further this FRED format data is processed by Product Generation System for generating scenes as per NRSA world referencing scheme (path/row based). The uncorrected data is then corrected for radiometric & geometric errors. Various types of products including geocoded and map overlay products are prepared. Very large number of products have been supplied to various users including DRDO labs.

Technical Information Center (TIC)
DEAL has an excellent library facility consisting of large collection of books, journals, reports, Standards relating to electronics and communication systems, MM wave and microwave, satellite communications, telemetics, image processing, real-time and embedded systems, software defined radios, systems analysis, mathematics, statistics, operational research, computer simulation, computer science, computer networking, sensor and allied fields, mechanical and also defence systems. It has its own server to serve e-documents like e-books, e-papers, e-standards to library users over the LAN
In April 2010, a new Technical Information Center for officials working in Technical Area III was inaugurated. This new facility contains a large collection of books related to the work going on in Tech Area III.
