Rear Admiral Ranjit Singh graduated from the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla in 1986. He was commissioned in the Indian Navy on 01 July 1987. His academic qualifications include ME (Electronics and Telecommunications) from Pune University, Advanced Naval Weapons Systems Engineering Course (ANWSEC) from Institute of Armament Technology (IAT), Pune for which he was awarded the Veer Karma Award and Chief of Naval Staff’s Rolling Trophy.
His afloat appointments include tenures on various front line ships of Indian Navy. During his tenure at DLRL, he has been instrumental in induction of three generations of EW systems into the Indian Navy. He has vast experience in the design, development and induction of robust and reliable EW systems on different ships and submarines of the Indian Navy.
Presently, he has taken over as Director, Directorate of Quality, Reliability and Safety (DQR&S) since 07 May 2019.
