Directorate of Quality Reliability and Safety was created at DRDO Headquarters, New Delhi on 27 Sep 2012. To achieve its mission, Directorate organises events and conducts trainings on quality, reliability and safety aspects and works towards embedding the same in the organisational culture. Being the nodal agency on quality and reliability, Directorate keeps live interfaces with external agencies on the subject. DQR&S issues policies, guidelines and standards so that DRDO products/technologies are of highest quality, reliable and safe for the end user. DQR&S facilitates Labs/Estts in building quality from requirements stage right through development, prototype and production. The Directorate ensures that Labs/Estts build the highest quality Software by following the latest standards under a uniform development, SQA and IV&V framework.
