Presently, RCI is pioneering R&D in the cutting edge technology areas and spearheading a number of technology development, mission mode and S&T projects. In addition, RCI is also leading the design and development of smart guided weapons with precision strike capabilities. RCI is a research and technology hub in avionics, particularly in Inertial Navigation, Imaging Infra-Red (IIR) and Radio Frequency (RF) Seekers & Systems, Sensors, Guidance & Control Systems, On-Board-Computers, Mission Software, Flight Instrumentation, Power Systems, Systems Integration, Flight hardware-in-Loop Simulation (HILS), Environmental and Electro-Magnetic Interference/ Compatibility (EMI/EMC/EMP/HERO) test facilities. RCI has achieved many firsts in India in these advanced areas.
