You can join DRDO as Scientist B. At the entry level for this, DRDO conducts recruitment through the Recruitment and Assessment Centre, RAC, via open advertisement. As for the educational qualifications, the DRDO typically recruits candidates with engineering degrees such as BE, BTech, ME, MTech in various disciplines including Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical, Chemical, Aeronautical, Material Science, Metallurgical and Civil Engineering. Candidates with post-graduate degrees in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible.

Candidates with experience and higher qualifications have option to join DRDO through lateral entry as Scientists C and above, which DRDO conducts occasionally based on specific requirements. For Senior Research and Scientist positions, PhD holders in relevant disciplines can apply.
