Guided Pinaka Rocket System
Design and Development of Guided Pinaka rocket along with upgraded launcher system have been successfully completed as per PSQR. After successful completion of Stage-I (DGQA technical evaluation trials) and Stage-III (EMI/EMC trials), Phase-2 Position, Velocity and Timings (PVT) trials of Stage-II were conducted at ITR Balasore. Phase-1 trials of Stage-II PVT were conducted at Pokhran and Phase-3 High Altitude Area (HAA) trials of Stage-II PVT were conducted at Ladakh. Flight test results for all rockets launched during stage-II PVT trials were satisfactory and all PSQR parameters (range, accuracy, consistency, multiple engagement, rate of fire) met successfully. PVT in three stages was successfully completed and trial team has recommended induction of Guided Pinaka Rocket into service. MET of upgraded in-service launchers are in progress.
