Transparent Armour

Technology for transparent armour a ceramic material (magnesium aluminates spinel) has been developed. The maximum size of 100 mm × 100 mm × 4 mm (Square) as technology demonstration has been produced using Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). This has been tested against 7.62 AP bullet.
