Stores Interface Box

Stores Interface Box (SIB) is the brain of Stores Management System (SMS) for LCA Tejas. It is a VME based open system hardware with inbuilt redundancy having safety interlocks for release and emergency jettison of stores. It integrates stores using weapon bus and provides interface to cockpit through Open Architecture Computer (OAC). It controls Pylon Interface Boxes (PIB) based on high level commands received from OAC over 1553B buses for release/control of stores.
