Space Payload Recovery Parachute
Technology Cluster
Space Payload Recovery Parachute along with floatation system is capable of recovering space payload on the sea surface. The system is highly reliable and stable. The total mass of the parachute system is less than 15 kg and recovery payload is 500 kg.
Deceleration System for Human Spaceflight Programme has been developed to safely recover the crew carrying module of mass 4000 kg on sea after returning from space. The system is capable to work well for all mission abort scenarios and it has been proven in Crew Module Atmospheric Re-entry Experiment and Pad Abort Tests. The further development for the payload mass capacity of 5 Ton and beyond are under active plans of ADRDE
