Seabed Array

Seabed Array

The seabed array is an off board sonar meant for passive surveillance of underwater targets. It consists of sets of transducer arrays which are placed on the seabed. The hydrophones pick up the signals of the vessels passing in the vicinity of the array and the data telemetry system ensures transmission of these signals to a ship or shore station. These are further processed, thereby enabling detection, localisation, classification and tracking of the targets.
