The laboratory is responsible for development of high performance solid propulsion systems, aerospace mechanisms and advanced composite structures for all the missile programs of DRDO. The front end technologies being developed in the laboratory include ultra-high temperature composites, high performance composite rocket motor casing, canisters, radomes, thrust vectoring, divert and attitude control systems, extendable nozzle exit cones, re-entry vehicles and explicit energy management guidance and high energy solid propulsion systems for all types of missiles.
