Shri Shiva Prasad Parvathaneni has assumed charge as director DRDO Young Scientist Laboratory (DYSL-AT) Asymmetric Technologies with effect from 02 Jan 2020. A graduate with honors degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from NIT Rourkela

Shiva Prasad has started his professional career at NSTL, Vizag as a scientist- B in 2007 and is presently heading the DYSL-AT. He has made significant contributions in the area of development of Air and Underwater missiles.

He contributed in planning and development of various sensors and instrumentation systems for light weight class Torpedoes. He has been pivotal in development of satellite communication systems. His other major contributions were conceptualization and development of “A BLOCK BOX recorder with satellite transmitter (BSAT) for underwater vehicles” with satellite and GPS Technology. This technology is patented in United States, Russia, WIPO (PCT)and European Patent office.

Under his leadership, DYSL-AT has successfully completed GUN ON DRONE and demonstrated to Honorable Defence Minister of India within a year of lab establishment. He has guided the young team to develop the decentralize SWARM OF UAV and related technology
