Integrated Weapon System Simulation
complex weapon systems. Surface-to-air missile weapon systems are quite complex with multiplicity of elements like mission control centre, launch control centre, multiple radars and missiles. DRDO has developed a distributed simulation set up to simulate sophisticated air defence systems. The simulation paradigm comprises sequential communi-cating processes on distributed systems and is event driven. Two major packages Vyuha and Chakra Vyuha have been developed.
The main objectives of the packages are: weapon system performance prediction, interfacing with weapon system elements, evaluation of system level algorithms, Monte Carlo simulations, sensitivity and breaking point analysis, countermeasure evaluation, evaluation of weapon system planning and user training.
