Household water purification unit developed by DRL can remove various contaminants like arsenic, manganese and iron from water. The system can be operated without electricity with a flow rate of 1.5 L/Hr. The unit is made of plastic and consists of a battery/electric operated aeration pump and two cylindrical chambers.
