A total of 51 varieties of Jatropha collected/procured from different parts of the country are being maintained at DIBER, DRDO, in addition to nearly 500 genotypes with higher yields selected from DIBER, DRDO fields.

Fodder germplasm for equines

DIBER, DRDO has created a germplasm bank of fodder for equines in Uttarakhand region. Currently, there are 40 species of fodder grasses available in the germplasm bank, out of which 14 species are local grasses of fodder value.

Rare and endangered medicinal plants

Herbal gardens with 140 rare and endangered plants have been developed at HQ Haldwani, Field Stations Pithoragarh and Auli.
