On 13th April 2017, DIHAR Leh organized a one day stakeholder’s meet which was chaired by Dr Sonam Dawa, Hon’ble Chief Executive Councilor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh and co-chaired by Dr Shashi Bala Singh, DS & DG (LS) DRDO. During the meet DIHAR presented their proposed XIII five plan, to which the chairperson and present members gave valuable suggestions, which will be included while drafting the final proposal. Dr Shashi Bala Singh assured the gathering that DIHAR’s endeavor to develop agriculture of Ladakh will continue and said that all stakeholders have to work synergistically to achieve it. On the occasion, two extension bulletins on ‘growing watermelons in Ladakh’ and ‘mulching technology’ was also released.
