The Distinguished Scientist Award for Year 2018, Instituted by Society for Plant Protection Sciences, was conferred on Dr Madhu Bala, Scientist 'G' and Director, DIBER, DRDO for her significant contributions in the field of Microbiology. Padma Bhushan Dr Dr R S Paroda, Chairman TAAS and former DG, ICAR & Secretary, DARE, Govt of India, conferred the award at the Inaugural function of Ist International Conference on “Climate Change and Adoptive Crop protection for Sustainable Agri-horticulture Landscape” on 20 December 2018. Dr C. Chattopadhyay, Vice Chancellor UBKV, Pundibari West Bengal and Dr A K Singh DDG (HS) ICAR, New Delhi, were the guest of Honor on this occasion.
