Advanced Centre for Energetic Materials (ACEM), Nasik celebrated National Technology Day on 11th May 2018. Prof. S Alwan, General Manger (Retd.) Rocket Propellant Plant, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Shri Srinivasan Seshadri, Sc ‘G’ & General Manager, ACEM addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the day. The Technology Day Orations were presented by Shri Subir Kumar Mandal, Sc ‘D’, on “Study of Mixing Sequence for Propellant with Multimodal AP on Large Scale” and Shri Ehtasimul Hoque, Sc ‘B’ on “Friction and Impact Sensitivity Determination of Energetic Materials”. The commendation certificates were presented to the orators by the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest delivered a talk on “HTPB – Synthesis, Manufacture & Propellant processing”. A number of events were conducted during the week to mark the celebration. Competitions like Technology Quiz and Crossword were conducted and the winners were awarded.
