National Science Day was celebrated at DRL, Tezpur with the illuminating presence of “Master Innovator Dr. Uddhab Kumar Bharali, Padmashree Awardee” from North Lakhimpur district of Assam as the Chief Guest for the occasion. National Science Day oration titled “Aeration: A Nature’s approach for water treatment” was delivered by, Dr. Rama Dubey, Sc ’E’. On this occasion, “HYPOTHESIA: overcoming challenges of modern India with science”, - a competition among students of local schools was also conducted, which was aimed at students’. This was followed by the awe-inspiring presentation by the Chief Guest of the day, which showed his different simple yet highly impactful innovations in various fields including agriculture engineering, food science and apparatus for the divyangs. Finally the illustrious event came to an end with the scientists of DRL interacting with the Master Innovator.National Science Day was also celebrated at DRL Dett, Salari (Arunachal Pradesh) under the supervision of Dr. Duyi Samyor, Research Associate with the participation of teachers of local school and government officials.
