National Safety week (4-11 March, 2019) was celebrated at DIPAS by organizing lectures for enhancing safety awareness. The programme started with opening remarks by Director, DIPAS, Dr. Bhuvnesh Kumar who emphasized the promotion of safety culture in DRDO work places to protect the personnel as well as environment. Dr. Geetha Suryakumar, Scientist E, delivered a lecture on "DRDO Safety Policy and implementation procedures". Dr. Divya Singh, Scientist E, explained about Lab safety measures and biological safety which is the main core work area of DIPAS. Dr. Deepika Saraswat, Scientist E delivered a talk on "Fire safety and prevention" by emphasizing the strategies for fire prevention as well as protection. These lectures were aimed to sensitize the lab employees and create awareness towards overall safety at the workplace.
