IRDE, Dehradun and Optical Society of India (Dehradun Chapter) jointly conducted a unique event IRDE Industry Institute Interaction Meet, I4M-2018 at IRDE Dehradun on 25 October 2018.
I4M-2018 was focused to bring out the present capabilities and future plans of IRDE for the development of technologies relevant to Electro-optics where handshake is sought from the industries and institutions. This event proved to be the platform for Industries to know the requirements of IRDE and the Academia for focused research. About 50 Industries and more than 320 participants participated in the event from IRDE & other DRDO labs, Industries, Institutions and production partners.
Lt. Gen. J. P. Singh (Retd.), PVSM, AVSM inaugurated the meet and delivered his talk. Director IRDE in his welcome address stressed upon the need to conduct such meets for better handholding between IRDE, industry and Institute to excel the performance.Prof. Kehar Singh (Retd. IIT Delhi), Shri S. Ranganathan, Vice President L&T, Prof. Anurag Sharma, IIT Delhi & President Optical society of India, Shri M V Raja Shekhar, CTO BEL were among the dignitaries who addressed the gathering.
Transfer of Technology (ToT) ceremony of two IRDE products were conducted by Shri SudhirKhare Assoc. Director (ToT). During the ceremony the ToT were handed over to respective firms. Dr. MayankDwivedi, Director DIITM, DRDO, Hqrs addressed the gathering in this regard. He stressed upon ToT procedures and policies of DRDO.
