Maintaining appropriate Sanitation condition is a serious problem at high altitude region because of the low temperature and terrain conditions. To address the issue, DRL has developed appropriate sanitation system for HA region. Many such systems are installed at army units situated in extreme locations of Himalayan region.

Main Features:

• Specially designed (patented) system, that can withstand extreme cold conditions especially during winter months.
• Appropriately insulated system that can be used for small posts for armed forces to larger units (vo-lume of the treatment system is as per users). 
• Thermostatically controlled heating can be provisioned as per requirements.
• The system can be used for small to large number of users.
• Minimum human intervention
• Useful for Armed Forces personnel stationed at extreme location
• Safe to discharge water to the environment or can be reused after proper treatment
