5 kW brushless DC Generating system for LCA Tejas

State-of-the-art 5 kW Brushless DC Generator (BLDC) is developed for LCA-Tejas to support critical electrical loads for flight safety during emergency when main AC generator fails. Generator comprises of Permanent Magnet stage, Main Exciter and Main Generator facilitating autonomous mode. FPGA/DSP based embedded controller featuring precise voltage regulation with BITE facility to meet stringent MIL standards of voltage regulation. This BLDC generator has successfully completed 1250 hours of Endurance test.
