List of Products developed for Services & Status
Many of the technologies developed for the Armed Forces can be suitably modified to meet the civilian requirement. For example, the Protective Equipment & Flying Clothing technologies viz., (a) Flame Retardant materials (fabrics and coated fabrics), (b) Insulation materials, (c) Heated textiles, (d) Cooling system and (e) HAPO chamber can be extended to the civilian applications by appropriate modifications. Some of the Aeromedical Engineering technologies viz., Helicopter Oxygen system, the Free Fall system, Bone Conduction Head set etc., can be suitably modified to meet the civilian requirements.
Similarly, the Biomedical Engineering products like the Portable Hand-held Vital Parameter Monitor and Rugged Portable Telemedicine system also find application in the Civil Healthcare sector with suitable modifications.
