Retractable Landing Gear System for Rustom II (TAPAS) UAV

CVRDE has designed & developed Tri-cycle Nose Wheel Type Retractable Landing Gear System for 2.85 ton class TAPAS(RUSTOM II) UAV. The retractable landing gear (RLG) system consists of hydro-gas based shock absorber struts, wheel & brake, nose wheel steering, hydraulic system, retraction & deployment mechanism and landing gear controller with DO 178B safety Level A software. The salient features of the RLG system are given below.

The indigenously designed & developed airworthiness(CEMILAC cleared) landing gear system has been integrated into the 2.85 ton class TAPAS UAV and completed more than 100 flight trials successfully so far.
