MR Mount

Magnetorheological fluid mount (MR Mount) is developed for isolating low frequency vibrations of on-board machinery from the hull of the ships. This real-time active vibration control mount consists of a load bearing elastomer, MR fluid chamber, MEMS based vibration sensor and a controller for closed loop feedback control mechanism. The mount can control low frequency vibrations both in passive and active modes. MR mount was manufactured by KELTRON, Kuttippuram. The mount is accepted by Indian navy for on-board applications.
