International Women’s Day was celebrated at CAIR on 8th March 2019. All Women working at CAIR were invited for the celebrations which started with address by Smt. Manimozhi Theodore, Sc ‘G’ & Director. She emphasized on the contributions of women at work place. She highlighted the positive impact the work of mothers has on the children and how it inspires the entire family to strive better in life. This was followed by a lunch for women. After lunch, a lecture on fire hazard and safety at home/ apartment complex was played by Smt Padma Desiraju, Sc ‘G’ of CAIR, educating people about common causes of fire accident at home, preventive and fire control measures for different sources of fire. Smt Hemalata Bari and Smt Chaitra of CAIR organized some fun games and quiz. All women CAIR employees, Development partners, Contract employees, student trainees and casual workers actively participated. Winners were given attractive token prizes on the spot. The event culminated with high tea for all (Men and Women) at CAIR premises.
