500kg Prefragmented Bomb

ARDE has designed the 500 kg Preformed Fragmentation Bomb with Steel spheres as fragments (10,300 nos. of 15 mm steel spheres). The bomb is designed to be compatible with Russian as well as Jaguar aircraft by providing dual suspension lugs of 250 mm and 14 inch spacing. The Bomb is configured with Proximity Fuze with nose initiation. Lethal performance of the bomb in Blast would create Peak-Over-Pressure of more than 0.2 kg/cm2 at 20 meter distance from poin t of burst and preformed fragments would perforate 12 mm Steel plate at 50 m radius with fragment density of >1 hit/m2.
