About ICORT

International Conference on Range Technology (ICORT)  is dedicated to all professionals of Test Ranges around the globe, associated partners, and researchers in related field, academics. The conference provides opportunity for interaction with various experts of world Test Ranges and a number of notable industries around the globe.

About ITR

Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur is a DRDO laboratory involved in Test and Evaluation of a wide variety of airborne weapon systems like guided missiles, rockets, UAVs and aircrafts. Over the past 35 years, ITR has carried out more than 1000 missions of national importance.
The journey of ITR as a Test Range was started in the year 1982 with a vast stretch of barren land along the coast of Bay of Bengal. Initially aimed at Test and Evaluation of systems under IGMDP (Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme), over the years, ITR has been continuously upgraded with state-of-the-art Range Instrumentation and ancillary facilities to evolve as a world class Test Range capable of undertaking Test and Evaluation of airborne systems of any kind.
After the launch of Agni Technology Demonstrator Vehicle in 1989, ITR took giant strides in the years to follow and met with all challenging test requirements and conducted increasingly complex mission scenarios such as Long Range Ballistic Missiles, Ballistic Missile Defence trials, Multi-target Surface to Surface and Air to Air interception, Anti-Satellite missions, and vehicles with Low Altitude Cruise trajectory etc.
As on date, in addition to conducting tests of flight vehicles under development by various DRDO projects, ITR has also successfully carried out tests of systems already in service with the Indian Armed Forces as well as weapon systems jointly developed involving foreign agencies.
In addition to conducting launch campaigns, one major aspect which has been emphasised within ITR is indigenous development of products and technologies related to a Test Range. Indigenous systems such as Dual Band Telemetry, Phased Array Telemetry, Tracking radar, Flight Termination systems etc have been designed and developed to meet the test requirement.  ITR has a team of developers working on cutting edge technologies in areas like, image processing and computer vision, Signal Processing, VLSI, Data Fusion, Data processing, HMI for situational awareness and safety assessment, system modelling and simulation, communication & networking, threat simulation. Expertise from Indian industries and academic institutions are being utilised towards the developmental tasks taken up by ITR.

About the Conference

In 2019, ITR organised ICORT-2019 co-sponsored by IEEE Kolkata section and ACDOS with the theme of “Emerging Trends in Missile-System Evaluation and Importance of Test Range”. As a sequel to the earlier conference, ITR is going to organise the Second International Conference on Range Technology (ICORT-2021) In association with IEEE Kolkata Section, IEEE Bhubaneswar Sub-section and IEEE Communication & Computer Societies Joint Chapter.
The theme of the conference will be “Advances in Range Technology”. The conference will be conducted in two days hosting four concurrent technical sessions and tutorials sessions pertinent to Range technology. Panel discussions and invited talks on special topics are also planned. All the sessions will be conducted virtually. The presenters, audience and panellists will join through WebEx video-conferencing platform. The major tracks of the conference will be Antennas, RF & Microwave & Radar, IR Tracking & Image Processing, Telemetry, Communication & Flight Termination System, Data Analytics, Decision Theory & Control Systems.
