Main Controller for Communication and Control

The main controller performs the function of communication, control and command scheduling onboard the ROV. It is a PC 104 architecture-based rugged computer with Intel 386 as its core processor. It has a stack comprising power supply, a motherboard and a multi-serial card. It connects to the various payloads through a common interface depending on the role for which it is being deployed. The main controller is pre-programmed with an ID for enabling address-based communication required for collaborative control over multiple ROVs.
