Towards Resurgence from Self-Reliance

In the upasthana mantra of Sandhyavandhana, a student repeats the sloka, Ajeethasyama Sharadhasatham meaning “I will remain unconquered for 100 years” to get the inner strength to fight the worldly battle. If there is a sloka which is appropriate for the present times to tide over geo-political challenges, it is this one. Self-reliance is another way of giving expression to this sloka to fight technology control regimes operated by global cartel to weaken India.

This issue of Technology Focus highlights representative technological achievements in Defence Electronics in order to portray the small but significant efforts that address the entire hierarchy in self-reliance—materials, devices/components, sub-systems and systems.

I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did in bringing this issue to you.
