Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (CVRDE), Avadi,
organised a course on Heat Treatment and Testing of Metals Metal during
4-8 August 2003. Thirty-six participants from various DRDO labs/estts
attended the course. Shri K Kailasapathy, Sci G , Addl Director delivered
the inaugural and valedictory addresses.
Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), Hyderabad, organised a
refresher course on Particulate Materials: From Processing to Products
during 18-22 August 2003. Thirty-two participants from DMRL and RCMA,
Hyderabad attended the course. Dr Dipankar Banerjee, CCR&D (AMS) and
Director, DMRL inaugurated the course. Shri S Balasubramanian, Sci F, was
the Course Director.
Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bangalore, organised a course
on Digital Prototyping and Virtual Reality
during 4-8 August 2003.
Twenty-five participants from various DRDO labs/estts attended the course.
Shri TK Sampathkumaran, Emeritus Scientist, GTRE was the Chief Guest for
the valedictory function and distributed certificates to the participants.
GTRE also organised a workshop on Contract Management during 21-22 August
2003. Thirty participants from Ordinance Factory, Kolkata; and various
DRDO labs/estts attended the workshop.
High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL), Pune, organised a
course on Pyrotechnics
during 4-8 August 2003. Dr Haridwar Singh,
Outstanding Scientist & Director, HEMRL inaugurated the course. Twenty-six
participants attended the course. Dr BK Athawale, Sci F, was the Course
Director, while Dr MR Somayajulu, Sci F, was the Course Coordinator.
Institute of Armament Technology (IAT), Pune, organised three CEP courses
simultaneously on the topics: Flow Induced Vibration and Related
Environmental Assisted Failures; Cooling Techniques for Electronic
Equipment; and Design Methodologies for Armaments during 4-8 August 2003.
Institute of Technology Management (ITM), Mussoorie, organised courses on
Critical Issues in Technology Transfer for Productionising Indigenously
Developed Product Systems during 18-21 August 2003; Professional
Excellence in Materials Management during 25-29 August and Organisational
Effectiveness through Behavioural Science during 27-31 August 2003.
