DESIDOC, Delhi

Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), Delhi, organised a course on Multimedia and Digital Library during 5-9 January 2004. Twenty-two participants from various DRDO labs/estts attended the course. Director, DESIDOC, inaugurated the course. Dr JP Singh, Sci E was the Course Director while Shri RP Singh, Sci C was the Course Coordinator.

DMRL, Hyderabad

Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), Hyderabad, organised a course on Surface Science and Engineering during 2-6 February 2004. Director, DMRL, inaugurated the course. Dr B Venkataraman, Sci E was the Course Director and Shri N Maitra, Sci G delivered the valedictory address.

GTRE, Bangalore

Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bangalore, organised, a course on Vibration Monitoring and Analysis during 15-19 December 2003. Twenty-nine participants from various DRDO labs/estts attended the course. Padmashree R M Vasagan, Vice Chancellor, MGR University, Chennai was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function.

INMAS, Delhi

Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS), Delhi, organised a course on Biomedical NMR during 19-23 January 2004. Director, DIPR, inaugurated the course. Prof KVR Chary, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai delivered the keynote address. Sixteen participants from various DRDO labs/estts attended the course. Maj Gen T Ravindranath, AVSM, VSM, Director, INMAS presided over the valedictory function . Brig R P Tripathi, VSM, was the Course Director.

GTRE, Bangalore

Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bangalore, organised a Conference on DRDO Personnel Management on 28 January 2004. Dr W Selvamurthy, CCR&D (LS & HR) was the Chairman while Dr YP Pathak, Director, R&DE(Engrs), Pune was the Co-Chairman. Director, GTRE delivered the welcome address. The conference addressed all issues relating to personnel management and made suitable recommendations for the DRDO Directorsí Conference with a view to make the system more effective, responsive and dynamic for meeting the emerging needs of the organisation.
