A Session of symposium on Nuclear Medicine in PaeDIATric Practice in ProgressThe Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS), Delhi in association with the Indian Academy of PaeDIATrics (Delhi Branch) , Department  of PaeDIATrics, Maulana Azad Medical College and Society of Nuclear Medicine (Northern Chapter) organised a symposium on Nuclear Medicine in PaeDIATric Practice at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi on 14 A session of symposium on Nuclear Medicine in PaeDIATric January 2001. Prof Rune Sixt,  , President, PaeDIATric Committee of European Association of Nuclear Medicine, delivered the keynote address. Dr T Lazar Mathew, Director, INMAS and Chairman, Organising Committee, delivered the inaugural address. About 200 delegates from different medical colleges and hospitals and private practitioners from the city attended the day-long symposium. The symposium was followed by a workshop at INMAS on Nuclear Medicine in PaeDIATric Practice, during 15-16 January 2001. The topics discussed during the workshop were: Safety aspects of radioisotope techniques and raDIATion burden, paeDIATric nuclear medicine tricks of the trade, and quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals. Practical demonstrations of in-vitro techniques  of quality control of radiopharmaceuticals were arranged for the participants.
