MICRO ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND COMPUTATIONAL SYSTEMS MED & CoS cluster is headquartered at This cluster comprises of three laboratories New Delhi and headed by Dr. G. Athithan, Distinguished Scientist. The MED & CoS â€¢ Centre for Artiï¬cial Intelligence and Cluster encompasses two areas viz. Micro Robotics (CAIR), Bengaluru Electronic Devices (MED) and Computational Systems (CoS). â€¢ Joint Cipher Bureau (JCB), Delhi Micro Electronics & Devices: The MED â€¢ Scientiï¬c Analysis Group (SAG), Delhi cluster focuses on thrust areas and technologies relating to microwave tubes, solid state MICRO ELECTRONIC electronics including micro electronic device DEVICES design and manufacturing via Semiconductor Technology & Applied Research Centre 2.5.1 Advanced Numerical (STAR-C) and Gallium Arsenide Enabling Research and Analysis Group Technology Centre (GAETEC). This cluster (ANURAG) comprises of three laboratories and two foundries i.e. ANURAG Hyderabad has focus on the technology areas encompassing high â€¢ Advanced Numerical Research and performance computing, trusted computing Analysis Group (ANURAG), Hyderabad systems, and digital, analogue and RF VLSI design and development. The laboratory has â€¢ Microwave Tube Research and been developing indigenous solutions to meet Development Centre (MTRDC), supercomputing requirements of DRDO. It Bengaluru is developing indigenous systems for cyber security and trusted computing, trusted â€¢ Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), routers and switches, wearable computer, and Delhi modems. The laboratory has been designing digital, analog and RF VLSI circuits/systems â€¢ GAETEC to provide indigenous solutions for electronic devices to be used in major DRDO projects. â€¢ STAR-C It is also developing system software for indigenously developed processors/systems Computational Systems: The CoS cluster and scientiï¬c data visualization. focus is in the technology areas of artiï¬cial Core Competencies/Thrust Areas intelligence, robotics, command and control, â€¢ High performance computing networking, information and communication â€¢ Very Large Scale Integrated Circuits (VLSI) design: digital and analog security, cryptography, cryptology, â€¢ Operating system, system software and information security, cyber security and visualization software ruggedized non-recyclable media for secure 69 key distribution leading to development of mission critical products for battle ï¬eld communication and management systems.
